Abstract:

The forgotten topological index is defined as sum of third power of degrees. In this paper, we compute some properties of forgotten index and then we determine it for some classes of product graphs.

On the bounds of the forgotten topological index

The forgotten topological index is defined as the sum of cubes of the degrees of the vertices of the molecular graph G. In this paper, we obtain, analyze, and compare various lower bounds for the forgotten topological index involving the number of vertices, edges, and maximum and minimum vertex degree. Then we give Nordhaus–Gaddumtype inequalities for the forgotten topological index and coindex...

Remark on Forgotten Topological Index of a Line Graphs

Let G be a simple connected graph with n vertices and m edges and let d(e1) > d(e2) > · · · > d(em) be edge degree sequence of graph G. Denote by EF = ∑m i=1 d(ei) 3 reformulated forgotten index of G. Lower and upper bounds for the invariant EF are obtained.

Some Results on Forgotten Topological Coindex

The forgotten topological coindex (also called Lanzhou index) is defined for a simple connected graph G as the sum of the terms du2+dv2 over all non-adjacent vertex pairs uv of G, where du denotes the degree of the vertex u in G. In this paper, we present some inequalit...

Graphs with smallest forgotten index

The forgotten topological index of a molecular graph $G$ is defined as $F(G)=sum_{vin V(G)}d^{3}(v)$, where $d(u)$ denotes the degree of vertex $u$ in $G$. The first through the sixth smallest forgotten indices among all trees, the first through the third smallest forgotten indices among all connected graph with cyclomatic number $gamma=1,2$, the first through<br /...

On Forgotten Topological Indices of Some Dendrimers Structure.

A series of previously conducted experiments pertaining to various chemicals and drugs uncover a natural linkage between the molecular structures and the bio-medical and pharmacological characteristics. The forgotten topological index computed for the molecular structures of various chemical compounds and drugs has proven significant in medical and pharmaceutical fields by predicting biological...

A novel topological descriptor based on the expanded wiener index: Applications to QSPR/QSAR studies

In this paper, a novel topological index, named M-index, is introduced based on expanded form of the Wiener matrix. For constructing this index the atomic characteristics and the interaction of the vertices in a molecule are taken into account. The usefulness of the M-index is demonstrated by several QSPR/QSAR models for different physico-chemical properties and biological activities of a large...
